Just rolling off my third contract engagement with HCA Healthcare, the largest Lawson Healthcare client in the U.S. Available for new work 10/1. Can work remote or will travel to client site. Corp-To-Corp contractor. Lawson Technical Consultant Eric Haugen ECHaugen@gmail.com Objectives To apply experience and skills set as a technical consultant/developer to Lawson S3 clients. Lawson experience includes fifteen years of development and support experience in many Lawson modules, particularly Human Resources and Procurement. This includes extensive experience with MicroFocus COBOL, and MF tools such as Animator. Lawson release levels include 6.X, 7.X, 8.X and 9.0. Development experience using Lawson 4GL tools, MicroFocus COBOL, and UNIX, using DB2, Oracle and Informix is extensive. Extensive knowledge of the Lawson database tables. Performed production support, conversions, various upgrades (including 7.2.4 to 8.0.3 and 8.0.1 to 9.0), interfaces and custom development. Development included full life cycle tasks from functional definition of business requirements to technical specifications, programming, testing, implementation and user documentation. Currently performing custom Payroll reporting development. Recently completed the build and security scrub of Lawson training databases allowing for masking of sensitive data. Recently completed the development of custom program interfaces between the legacy mainframe GL system and the Lawson GL system for facilities that are migrating to Lawson GL. Includes analysis of business requirements, creation of technical specifications and development of interface programs, both online and batch. Batch programs primarily feed data into and out of Lawson GL and online programs provide crosswalks of legacy data to/from Lawson data. 04/2009 07/2009 - Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare - Lawson Developer/Technical Consultant Provided custom modifications and development. Upgraded the Lawson/Supply Scan interface. Created the ADP W2 interface feed for online posting. Completed the Lawson application upgrade from 8.0.3 to 9.0 and provided tools, scripts and modifications to custom programs for 9.0 compatibility. Application upgrade was successfully completed 07/2009. 05/2005 12/2008 HCA Healthcare Lawson Developer/Technical Consultant Provided new custom development and support for the HR/PA/PR applications. HCA is Lawsons largest healthcare client. Following is a partial list of the achievements and completed tasks: Developed the following Interfaces to/from Lawson: Authoria Talent Management Silhouette System for Employee demographic data Mercer Prism for position information SunTrust for online pay stub Fidelity Financial for 403B Skylight for employee demographics Custom programs/reports: Workers Compensation Wage Report Wage reports for Corporate, Executive and Facility Employees Pay Codes report Data Security Scrub program Excess Social Security report W2 File split to process centers Check file split to process centers Work Flow Reconciliation report Security Profile screens Custom edits added to user exit programs Custom drill rounds and dropdowns Custom database tables Modifications to custom programs to allow for multiple Businesses 9.0 Upgrade: Engaged as development Co-Lead on HCAs 8.0.3 to 9.0 Lawson upgrade. Responsible as development co-lead for the retrofit, and testing of over 400 custom programs to 9.0. Included program retrofit/testing tracking and planning, technical support to the development team, and retrofit and testing. Member of a two person team responsible for the Lawson database physical upgrade (pre-jobs, copies, loads, post-jobs) to 9.0. Participated in multiple mock upgrades. Completed go-live in June 2007. Security Validation Module: Developed the Security Validation System. This 8.X LAUA based application consisted of 30 programs and 32 custom database tables. This system validated that the LAUA security class access entries matched a pre-defined template defined in a control database. Securable objects included system codes, forms, form functions, function pairs, form tabs, span of control, environment programs, database tables, and database fields. Various audit reports are provided along with online maintenance and inquiry screens and a batch CSV file full system load and maintenance program. The Security Validation System also included Segregation of Duties reporting. These programs allowed the entry of combinations of form pairs and function codes which violate SOD audit rules. The system maintained SOD Conflict records, Risk Categories, Mitigating Categories, Conflict Mitigation maintenance and Form SOD Status tracking. Also performed retrofit of certain portions of the Security Validation module for compatibility with 9.0 Security Roles. 10/2002 05/2005 Iasis Healthcare - Lawson Technical Consultant Provided technical consulting services to Iasis Healthcare. Iasis owns 20 hospitals. Completed a 7.2.4 to 8.0.3 upgrade where responsibility was for Procurement and all custom code retrofit and testing. Also supported other module upgrades including financials, HR, BN, and Payroll. Projects have included customizing reports and developing interfaces. Recently converted 32,000 assets from external system to Lawson AM. Work has been focused on Procurement (RQ, IC, PO, WH) with development also in HR/BN/PR and Financials. Development at Iasis included: Genera development: Application of Lawson patches Data error cleanup and recovery Custom programs, batch and online Standard Lawson program modifications and enhancements Applications Upgrade HR and Financials: Outbound Benefits provider eligibility files interface (HIPAA) HR Census/benefits letter file program Scripts for handling of AP and PR check and ACH files Program to generate 401K deduction file to Wells Fargo Program to generate 401K audit file for plan discrimination Custom Flex Summary Report Program to transfer employee process level and all PR history Custom benefits eligibility audit report Custom benefit plan transfer program Program to convert/load employees and dependents HBOC Star interface into the GL System GL Calendar change program for archival database reporting Asset Management load program AP Vendor split out into separate vendor groups (vendors, invoices, payments, balances) AP data corrections and abort resolution Materials/Procurement: Pyxis inbound inventory system interface Omnicell ScanReq inbound requisition system interface Outbound Omnicell ScanReq item master interface Outbound Horizon Surgical Manager item master interface Item Master standardization Maintenance programs such as UOM conversion 2/2002 - 6/2002 HCA Healthcare - Lawson Procurement Technical Lead Provided consulting services to HCA Heathcare, a healthcare company based in Nashville. Began consulting at HCA in February 2002. HCA was in the process of converting all facilities (over 200 hospitals) to Lawson. Having completed much of the Procurement design work, they then cancelled the Procurement implementation portion of the project. HCA was running the following Lawson release levels: Lawson Applications 8.0.1 and Lawson Environment 8.0.1 Primary responsibility was the creation of technical conversion and interface specifications. Design documentation includes business requirements and detailed technical specifications. Procurement consists of 15 conversion designs and 30 interface designs. Completed eight designs and collaborated with Procurement team members on the remaining specifications. Interfaces included incoming and outbound interfaces that would run in either real-time, near real-time or batch mode. These interfaces used Lawsons BCI (Business Component Integrator), as well as User Exit programs, custom batch programs, cloned Lawson programs and standard Lawson programs. The interfaces send and receive information for an external warehouse management system, VAN systems (Medibuy) and others such as Pyxis, SupplyScan, and Prescient. It includes incoming and outgoing Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Inventory moves/ adjustments/ shipments /receipts, EDI, ASNs, vendor returns, etc In addition to technical design, also provided technical training/knowledge transfer to team members, helped develop business requirements, and created programmer reference documentation. 9/2000 - 12/2001 Kinko's Corporate I.T. - Lawson Procurement Technical Consultant Began providing consulting services to Kinkos corporate IT department in September 2000. Kinkos utilizes Lawson HR, Financial and Procurement systems. Kinkos Lawson system environment consisted of: Lawson Environment release level 7.3.3. Lawson Application release level 7.2.4. Informix release level 7.31. HP-UX release level B.20.10. Responsibilities were the technical support, upgrade and development of the back-end (server-side) Kinko's Enterprise Purchasing System. EPS is a modified version of the Lawson Procurement module with a custom developed web front-end. Over 1,000 branches use this system for purchasing of supplies. During this engagement, performed the following activities: Completed Procurement upgrade to application level 7.2.4, Environment 7.3.3. Analyzed and translated business requirements into functional specifications. Various enhancements such as new reports and online programs. Modified existing standard programs. Resolved performance problems. Resolved data integrity issues. Rewrote PO Purge to provide an archive catalog. Developed of a mass-Item change for templates and count sheets. Created extended Item Catalog capability. Developed mass price change facility. 6/1990 - 6/2000 AIL Systems Inc - Technical Consultant Responsibilities during the ten year engagement at AIL Systems consisted of seven plus years of ongoing support, enhancement and interfaces of the Lawson Procurement, Requisitions and Inventory modules, and WDS Compass Contract System (both HP-UNIX version). Specific responsibilities were the direct coding, testing, and implementation of custom changes, add-on programs and interfaces between Lawson and the Compass Contract MRP II system. Primary lead on Walker to Lawson Procurement conversion. Lawson programming included use of Oracle, LATools, LX/LED Lawson Editors, and MicroFocus COBOL on a HP-9000 UNIX platform. Some PRO*COBOL experience for optimizing custom programs and/or clones of standard programs with inline SQL. Experience was primarily with 6.X release levels and participated in Bismark conversion of custom programs in preparation of migration to the 7.X (Insight) environment. Aided in new release upgrades and ongoing patches. Experienced in screen and report file formats, the Lawson dictionary, standard IO access routines, file and index definition, program definition, batch/token definition, recurring job schedules, and queue management. Included extensive use of the Micro Focus COBOL Animator for debugging Lawson programs. Functioned independently developing both on-line and batch programs. Also worked on IBM PIOS system, OS/MVS JCL and ISPF. |
