apparently apps 9 has totally chnaged the format of the pmtout from what we used in 8.1. It now has tags and is in xml format.

Is there anyway to easily modify this to map to the prior 8.1 apps file? If not...how much are others paying for their 3rd party vendor (ours is Bottom Line) to REMAP the check print program templates?

I'm afraid that with the drastic changes, the cost is not going to be cheap....

I don't know where you got your information. Yes the format does changes a lot in 901 but they are not in xml format and I don't know about the tags. In pre 900 version, the PMTOUT is one record per employee. The new format is several sequential records for an employee and each record is identified with a record code enclosed within < >. Example would be <COMP> for company record, <EMPL> for the employee information, <EARN> for earnings, etc. All I have to do is change my 4GL program to accommodate for the change in format. You can download the new specification from GSC.

Our third party vendor (MHC) already have these formats.
