Just trying to get a sense of opinions (obviously I have my own). Client is Windows platform running SQL Server DB. Looking for opinions on Tivoli vs ADAM as LDAP - I lean to ADAM myself for performance. Thoughts? |

Personal opinion... Go with what ya know.. In Windows shops I ALWAYS recommend ADAM. In strong Unix shops I always recommend TDS, because the Unix admins have control of it. In weak Unix shops with strong Windows admins I recommend ADAM. I personally prefer TDS because the data is in a DB2 SQL database that I can mine using SQL as well as LDAP tools. Also because I don't have to mess with any darned Windows machines - but I'm a Unix bigot.. "Go with what ya know" They both perform excellently and require minimal maintenance :thumb: |
