I understand the capabilities of PF as far as a workflow management tool - but what kind of history is kept in terms of the actions taken? I can see some of the tables in LOGAN and can assume some things, but not sure how accurate my assumptions are. As an example, if we create a flow for the termination process of an employee, would we be able to go back and query what actions were taken by what user against a specific employee? In looking at some of the history tables it appears that the "object" of the workflow may be tracked/stored in the resource ID fields of the tables? Our hope is that we can use this tool not only to manage the process but to be able and go back and verify that the proper steps were taken from a historical perspective.... |

If you're interested in process flow history, LAWSON has a tool that will allow you to see what happened with a particular flow. Each process flow, once it's kicked off, is assigned a unique key in LAWSON called a WORKUNIT. A workunit allows you to identify the kickoff time, variables, actions, and outcome of a particular flow invocation. If you have process flow tools installed, you can look at the outcome of each of these by logging into process flow administrator. You'll find a list of flows kicked off, and you'll be able to view actions taken by each flow, and a log of errors encountered, if any.
