Portal users in LSF9; LDAPBIND for password authentication

We plan to have LPS bind our Lawson ldap (MS Adam) to MS Active Directory for password authentication.
We are using LAUA security and still on 8.0.3 apps.

Is it possible to be selective on the bind? Meaning, a group of user ID's (Portal Users) bound to AD, and some User ID's in the LDAP repository that are left out of the bind?

Or is the bind "ALL or nothing"?

Thanks for any thoughts...

Thanks Stephanie...

Once the ldapbind is completed and I add a new user in RM with no ID created for this user in the corporate Active Directory. Will it authenticate against the SSOP service password if it doesn't find a matching Active Directory ID?

Good morning, Mark -

According to our guru here, unfortunately no. Its the same as if an AD account exists, but is inactive. Wish I had a better answer for you

If anyone else is having LDAPBIND issues for LSF9, there's a great page out on the net that provides a step-by-step guide to doing the bind.

http://www.slavo.biz/ldapbind.htm

We paid some consultant an extravagant amount of money for about thirty minutes on the command line. He was worth it, but if I had read this beforehand, I probably wouldn't have needed him.
