We are upgrading from 8.1 to 9.0.1 - we have 9.0.0.5 installed at this point since we have to do this interim upgrade - and we have the upgrade programs installed on our target PL (9.0.0.5) - and all UG setup appears to be correct. When we submit the copy jobs from the UG99 form it is not copying any data. Since none of the jobs copied data we are now just issueing the job for IF>CUCODES to do our test. The job submits with no issues - shows that it should be doing the copy, but it just completes with no errors anywhere. The other thing that I thought would show in the exam log would be the sqldbcopy syntax - but it does not. We are doing this on same environment server - single environment. We have our 8.1 PL and our newly installed and working 9.0.0.5 PL. Both connect to the same SQL Server 2005 DB (which is on another server). We've tried EVERYTHING we could think of in the UG00.3 database connection setup to see if this impacts it but it does not. I can also run sqldbcopy from command line. I also thought even if there was some issue with sqldbcopy that it would simply just do a dbcopy instead - but the job just completes in 1 second and shows successful. What step/setup/??? are we missing? |

In case anyone runs into this - we had already sone the technology side (last year) and are using the privileged identity for batch jobs. The UG990 jobs do not execute the copy code (XSYS) if that is defined in lajs.cfg - you have to run the job as the user you are logged on as. Undocumented in the upgrade documents... |
