Newbie Posts: 2 Group: Members Member #2,101 Joined: August 29, 2007	Has anyone done this ENV upgrade ? Does Portal, DS, ESS also need to be done at the exact same time - or can you do in steps ? i.e. do the ENV upgrade, start up and see if everything works...then do Portal upgrade. ?

Lawson Technorati Posts: 689 Group: Members Member #13 Joined: January 11, 2006	Install LSF9, set up laua for 'lawson', copy a productline, fire up LID & verify - then immediately install Portal etc.. The good part is that those components are the EASY ones to install. They can all be installed and configured in under an hour - and it you are Migrating your 8 env over then all the user.xml's and other configs will come in. Portal is really necessary to test the SSO configuration and your servlet interaction with WebSphere.

Even easier then to add the Portal, etc.. Just do it.. It's better to have them in place to avoid any cross-version complications. There IS a reason they update them together..
