I'm new to LSF9 and I don't have a clue about Resource Management so please bear with me.

How do I add employeeId as an attribute for people resource in LDAP? Do I add it thru the RM Schema Editor, tie it with people object then ldif it to ldap? How is agents such as EMPLOYEE, CUSTOMER etc used in conjunction with process flow?

Thanks very many..

i REALLY hate people who say RTFM (Read the ...Friendly... Manual) but in this case I'm going to recommend it highly as the best/first place to start.

Grab all the Lawson Admin PDFs from the MyLawson download site (bottom button on the LSF9 download page) and read through them - with the RM and LS screens open - click around and see what happens. It'll make MUCH more sense then.

Yes you have the right idea. Use the schema editor, attach to people ...
The tools are absolutely horrible (I can say that cause I work with it all day), absolutely counter intuitive. It makes you wonder if the original designer had ever used GUI software before. Anyway, as Dave said, RTFM, it'll help.

But I will answer your other question:

In pflow, you have two RM nodes, one for query and another for update. One of the tabs on those nodes allows you to access information on the agents/services.

The one nice thing I will say, is that the security manual although not nearly complete, does contain a TON of information.

Thanks GUYS!!

This just acknowledge that I'm on the right track here. Since we are using active directory, do we need to use the same naming convention (such as attributes)
between AD and RM? I'm thinking of adding EmployeeId attribute in RM but just found out that in AD it is called EmployeeNumber.

Thanks again.
