Title: Auto-populating Hours In Ess Time Entry

Has anyone who uses Lawson's time entry system found a way to upload hours onto the employee's time entry form? We'd love to be able to auto-populate the holiday hours for our staff, but haven't found a way to do it.

During implementation, we even tried creating a job to update PRPENDTIME, but there is an object ID created for a time record, and the ones we uploaded wouldn't extract with HS535. As far as we know, Lawson doesn't provide a screen that can modify the time entries in ESS--if they did we could use MS Addins to load holiday hours.

Thanks!

At my prior job, my boss created an off-line system in Access that added hours in automatically for salaried exempt workers. Those who didn't have to enter hours (such as myself) only had to enter exceptions.

The only problem with his system was that if you entered NOTHING the system had to refuse to generate hours, to avoid paying people automatically who may not have been employed any more. If no exception time was to be entered in a pay period, I still had to go in and add a single non-pay time of 0.01 hours for one single day any time in the pay period.

The Access system spit out proper hours and they were imported into PRPENDTIME.

I hope that this helps a bit.
