Title: Ags Call To Rd54.2

Any one have any success doing upload wizard or ags calls to a screen like RD54.1. It is where employees are assigned to groups.

What I am tring to accomplish is setting up employee Groups (PGEMPLOYEE) based on criteria such as position code or supervisor code and then create mirror groups in the Users and Groups section. I was hoping to use a scheduled process flow to synch those two up. I have all of it pieced together but the ags call.

It gives me the change complete continue but doesn't add the user. It appears to be one of those screens that you have to inquire on before you can change.

The ultimate goal is to have LBI groups set up that also mirror the PGEMPLOYEE Groups that would give reports to management based on who is in the supervisor code. this would keep us from having to manually update the groups. Hire a new manager to replace an old manager and viola the reports appear. It would only have to be maintained if new codes or groups were added.

It really would be nice if there was only one set of groups.

Help?

hey eric,

single set of groups?!?! next thing you know youll be asking for LBI rights management to integrate with Lawson Security.

I cant speak to your specific situation but ask lawson for the API Builder or Lawson String Builder. This will allow you to create valid IDA, DME and AGS calls using an htm page with drop downs and out puts the script in plain text. Ive used it in the past but I cant get it to work for some reason right now and its been a while.

I don't want LBI Rights management to mirror LAUA at all I like LBI Rights much better.

Thanks I'll keep monkeying with it.

I was looking to do the same type of thing... I was going to maintain logan groups based on a value in HR11 ... I was looking to have it show or hide a bookmark in portal.

I am having this built by a consultant. It is not done yet. I think it will be done in the next month.

I resolved my problem and it works now.

I can assign access to portal areas and LBI content based on PGEMPLOYEE groups.

Self maintaining criteria based access yeah!! :thumb:
