Title: Notating Tax Exempt Deductions On Pmtout File
Description: Does PR160 allow the delineation

We'd like to have an asterisk show on the pay stubs for all deductions that are tax exempt. The PMTOUT is not currently providing that. Is this possible to do with Lawson?

We'd also like to have a notation area that indicates what the asterisk is representing.

Do we need a Cobol programmer for this?

Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks

You could change the description in PR05. How are you printing your checks with the PMTOUT file? We use NEPS Printmerge, and we'd be able to do modify the check template to indicate what the asterisk was referencing.

Thanks for the info. We are using the vendor 'Bottom Line' and I did find in the PR160 where it is noted when something is PRETAX...so with that info they are saying that they will be able to modify the template to show the asterisk and the comment line.

Thanks for your time.
