Title: Bn15 Benefit Plans And Upgrade
Description: How many to bring into 9.0?

We're upgrading from 7.2 to 9.0. Have been on Lawson since 1999. We plan to convert all employees (active and termed), 4 years of detailed PR data with quarterly data beyond 4 yrs, and 4 years of BN enrollment history.

There are currently well over 100 different BN plans in our system; 45 of them are active and the others have Stop Dates. About 25 have stop dates 5 years ago or longer.

My brain is cramping on whether we need to build those 25 old plans in 9.0 or if we can just leave them behind? All deductions are already loaded into the ystem, so ded history should be OK, and I can't imagine that deds will blow up if not attached to a plan.

Any advice? Thanks.
Lauren

If all you want is the deduction history (how much was taken under specific deductions), then you don't need the old plans. But you say you will convert "4 years of BN enrollment history" which makes me think you want history on the plan they were enrolled in, the coverage option level, the premum amount, etc. If that's the case, then you will need the historical plans because you will have to run BN531/BN532 to enroll the employees in those plans.

Thanks, Karen, for the quick reply. We'll bring all plans, active or not, for the last 4 years. Prior to that, we have paper enrollment forms and don't need to have anyone enrolled in the system.
