I am trying to do an ADD-in that will upload a new deduction amount to an EXISTING deduction.... I just want to change an employees deduction from one number to another. What do I need to do so that the upload will know which deduction to change?

Not exactly sure what your question is asking, but you want to make sure you have the correct deduction code, and depending on what you are actually trying to accomplish, you may want to consider an effective date if you have history with stop and start dates previously. I assume that your amounts will all be different for each employee? Good luck

I assume you're not trying to change an amount that is calculated by the benefits module - because you should never do that. Since you can't have more than one record per non-benefit deduction per employee, if your upload includes the Company, Deduction Code and Employee Number along with the amount, you should be okay.

You need the ff fields to be able to change the employee deduction:
Company
Employee
Ded-Code
Seq Nbr
PT-XMIT-NBR1 should be set to 0

You need to query or dump the EMDEDMASTR first to get the Seq-Nbr of the record that you want to change.
