Our client, located in Akron, Ohio, is seeking a specialist area of responsibility within the title of Senior Programmer Analyst. This position will be Responsible for working with the Sr Lawson Administrator in administering and supporting the Lawson financial suite, along with ancillary responsibility for development and support of other aspects of the Lawson suite, working within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
• Administer Lawson security, apply maintenance patches and perform system upgrades.
• Maintaining and supporting existing applications.
• Design, code, unit and system testing, documentation, assist in training and implementation of projects, programs, work flows, etc. which are assigned by the Director/Project Manager/Leader.
• Maintain a very high level of technical expertise on all operating systems, software, and hardware platforms related to the Lawson financial suite.
• Investigate new and existing Lawson and Lawson partner capabilities to determine those products and services that can be used to meet current and future company business requirements.
Requirements
• At least 10 years technical experience in the design, development and deployment of complex business applications.
• Proficient in technical design areas and system testing.
• Work on a team and independently within established coding standards as well as a full life cycle methodology.
• Well defined communication skills and a demonstrated aptitude for communicating with both the technical staff and end-users to understand application requirements and design.
"MUST HAVE" requirements:
• Three to five years or more recent direct hands-on experience administering and supporting Lawson suite of applications including security administration and the application of CTPs and MSPs.
• At least five years developing applications in Cobol (preference to MicroFocus Cobol).
• At least five years Unix scripting.
• Experience/familiarity with one or more of following software environments:
• Oracle - data design, triggers, stored procedures
• Retail, distribution or manufacturing exposure within the last 6 years is required.
Salary - $62,000 - $72,000
