Has anyone run into performance issues, aside from the size limitation, with LBI 9.0.1.6?

Im trying to load a file of 600 records and its taking upwards of 10 minutes. We're using Tomcat with 1GB memory max allocation for the java heap, 2 proc server with 4GB of ram.

The problem number is 160444. It was reported as a priorty 3 due to the workaround and the anticipated fix date is 01/12/2007.....

Unless you are receiving an OutOfMemory exception on the import, the web application server is probably timing out the request. You could attempt to adjust applicable timeout settings."

Very often, Lawson gets the problem fixed long before the anticipated fix date. They give that to you to set your expectations, probably based on worst-case scenarios. Hopefully you will get the fix sooner than the middle of January.
