Critical Notice - Lawson S3* Applications and Technology support of Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) - November 1, 2006 This notice pertains to all Lawson customers using one of the following platforms: Windows XP Service Pack 2**, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition or Windows Server 2003.
-As of November 1, 2006, Lawson will support Lawson S3 Applications and
Technology using Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) as detailed below. This decision
is based on testing by Lawson to validate Lawson web Applications and
Technology on the generally available version of IE7.
-The following Lawson S3 Applications and Technology versions are supported
with IE7,with support exceptions referenced below.
o Unix or Windows platforms: Lawson Applications and Technology
versions .x and 9.x.
o System i (i-Series) platform: Lawson Applications and Technology
versions 7.x,8.x, and 9.x.
-Any application that requires a specific service pack or any application that
does not yet support IE7 is documented in Knowledge Base article 556540.
-For any Lawson S3 applications that have a different major version number
sequence than 7.x, 8.x or 9.x, IE7 support is documented in Knowledge Base
article 556540.
-For any additional IE7-related issues that are reported by customers,
standard support policies apply for determining whether a fix is delivered in
a patch or service pack.
Lawson encourages customers to include the following steps in their plan for using IE7:
-Refer to Knowledge Base article 556540 and validate that all installed Lawson
S3 Applications and Technology are supported on IE7.
-Install any necessary patches or perform required upgrades.
-Perform acceptance testing of all installed systems on IE7 prior to using IE7
in a production environment.
