Title: Payment Modeling And Bsi
Description: BSI Error Messages

Patti Aune - November 1, 2006 03:40 PM (GMT)
Hello All,

I'm getting multiple error messages in BSI Tax Factory when someone uses the payment modeling PR89. The message number is 1201 and the text is "There is no active tax formula on file to process the Minnesota 020 tax for this date". This message repeats up to 150 times on one person with different tax type numbers such as 020, 023, 024, 041, 042, 061, 062 etc. I don't even know what these tax formulas are. Am I missing something in the BSI set-up? It isn't causing any kind of problem with Lawson (that I can tell), it just takes up alot of space in the BSI message viewer and is more annoying than anything. Does anyone know how get rid of this error message?

We're on BSI version 7.0.I.2 and I think the last Regulatory Bulletin loaded is 152, don't know if that makes a difference.

Thanks Much!

Hi Patti
With my little & limited knowledge with BSI, I'll try to help as much as I can. Meanwhile, could you please provide me the steps to reproduce this problem?

That's the strangest part of this, the error appears to occur when someone uses the calculate button on the Employee Self Service payment modeling via the Web. They don't even make any changes to their set-up. They hit the button that says "Get Current Information " and then the "Calculate" button. Then when I go to BSI message viewer I have these hundreds (in some cases it's less not sure why) errors.

Thanks for any insight you might have.
