We have added a new table and wish to access it on the Employee self service programs. I went through LID to create the table, followed by the build and reorg. I then painted a screen and added rows to the table. I have looked at the data thru SQL and the records are there.

When I access ESS as and Employee (i.e. I only have access to ESS screens RD30 record is set up as Web Type - Employee), I get Database is secured. As I understand when I access ESS this way the programs access the database as the user Lawson, which is set up in our security class "SPECIAL" in LAUA.

When I access ESS as myself a user of the system (i.e. can access HR11... and the RD30 record is has Web Type of E Console) I have do not get the error, nor does anyone else in the security class SPECIAL.

I am at a loss.

It looks like Lawson Security (laua version) is kicking in. Perhaps you forgot to go in to your Product Line's File Security and give user class Employee access. I'll bet that user class SPECIAL has Admin rights! :rau:
