Title: Microsoft Successfully Break Portal (again)
Description: Security fixes create havoc!

schroncd - October 18, 2006 03:19 PM (GMT)
The latest "MS Security Fix" (sure) breaks Portal again.. This time with a "Remote User is required" message.

If you applied registry changes to fix the "Error on Page" issue previously and didn't install MSXML4 your system will break (again)

See Lawson KB article 1042252 - which redirects you to Article 102044

Thanks for the info - is there a reference number of the fix that breaks the portal?

In the case at this client we suspect KB924191 - it was installed (among others) last night, but it's the only ne that affected the MSXML files

Note that if you already have MSXML4 (as Lawson recommends) installed on your desktops it doesn't cause the problem.
