Okay so if you use the Ascential DataStage TX Type Designer tool (formerly known as mercator) as much as I do, and you're having a problem with saving your preferences then you're gonna thank me.
First make a backup of your registry.
Second, only if you feel comfortable making edits to your registry run regedit.
Select
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ascential Software\DataStage TX\7.5\0\Type Designer
| CODE |
HKEY_CURRENT_USER -|Software -|Ascential Software -|DataStage TX -|7.5 -| 0 -| Type Designer
|
Then double click on Miscellaneous Options. Then very carefully edit yours to look like the two attached files. (Continued in next post)
Second image is at the bottom of that attribute.
Anyway, that should set your options to the ones I like :lala: but I am sure they're also the ones you like. (Turns off a few confirmations, displays component numbers and range column)
DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. And do not ask me how I figured it out.
