Hello,
Wondering in anyone knows if there is a way I can set up on Self Service for the employees to input their PCP information for themselves and for their dependents as well??
And how I would do it.. :banghead:

Do you have access to design studio or the javascript tool? If so what we did was create a modified hr11 let employees enter there own info.

Unfortunately I don't, however our employees do NOT use lawson ..only HR. We want them to do it on Employee self service but I Don't know how to set that up...
Thanks!

Let me see if I got this right? You're telling me that your HR dept wants to use ESS to enroll and not your employees? What is their motivation ?

what?? LOL no
the previous comment was they made a change on HR11. Which is not on my ESS.
We just have benefit enrollment on ESS and right now we manually input the PCP information. However we are switching carriers this year and we need the entire company to update this info. So to make it part of ESS would solve our problem otherwise this is a manual process for us to do on HR11 ...for thousands of folks.
Make sense?
thanks

If you can find a web developer I am sure that you could have the ESS benefits page modified. I have been able to modify quite a few pages with the help of consultants. They program the page for me in test and then after I approve the change it is installed into production. We have changed screens throughout ESS...
This might not be the ideal solution but could you use a personnel action that is web available? I am not sure how it would work exactly but I was thinking that if you created an action on PA50 and then added the Primary care Physician field to the action you might be able to create a bookmark for the action? I am not sure if this is possible or not but it could be worth some research research.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess we are not going to do it this way after all. We don't have someone that is / wants etc. to program ..and we found another solution! :-)
Thanks

Could you share your solution with us?
(At my company, when faced with the same problem, we cloned HR11 and a couple of other screens -- PA52 comes to mind. We used the cloned versions as the "front end" programs to feed ESS, instead of HR11. That way we could cripple the javascript on the input screens any way we wanted to, and adjust security any which way, but not affect the original screens.)

Haven't tested this yet, but version 8.0.3.5409 of ESS/MSS has the PCP functionality built right into it.
