My Finance department just approached me on setting up a new Company. Does anyone have documentation on this - and what it would take to do this. I am in the process of getting the # of accounts, but want some preliminary set up guide if possible?? Thanks!

Any help on this? I have never set up a new company before. There are going to be about 50 new acct units involved. This is a company that is handling all of our Professional Billing, so it will impact AP, PR, GL, & CB (i think that's it) - any help or suggestions?

Hi Mil0n023,

I am only posting this cause it doesn't seem like anyone is responding and I know its not much help, but I had to do a similar thing a couple of years back and I seem to remember the GL User manual walked me through it step by step and although I still needed some hints it was pretty simple overall.

You should be able to download the User Manual online. There is also the training manual which basically goes through this task in chapter one.

I did download the GL Documentation. It seems to walk me thru - " ... start with Chart of Accounts..."

I hope I can get it.

I've been setting up Companies left,right and centre - drop me a mail if you need any help.The account assignment is a right pain but i've just created an add in that takes 30 minutes instead of 2 days keying!
