Title: Purge Po20, Po30 Print Manager History?

Every time a buyer issues a PO through PO20 or receives through PO30, a job is created and remains in their Print Manager files. Because they don't have time to delete these jobs periodically, their Print Manager files are filled up with these bogus jobs that are not needed or referred back to. Is there a purge job for flag that we can flip that will delete these records, or prevent them from being created?

I've asked Lawson, and they say that we can't specify certain jobs to be deleted. We want to be able to delete the PO20 and PO30 records from Print Manager on a daily basis (if not upon creation). I can't believe that all Lawson materials users just have these jobs backing up in the Print Manager files and are okay with it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

That's a job for UNIX scripting. We do "generic" purges via script here, based on date, but nothing as specific as you're looking for. Maybe someone else has a script already? :coffee: Just asking!

Hi,

I would like to share a small thought after looking into the reply. If you run a a script to delete the files created by PO20.. you will loose the history of the PO.

Ex: After release and issue of PO one can canel a line(s) and again re release and issue the same PO. since there will be no files in the print directory we cant trace the history/revisions of the PO.

Hope It makes some sense
