Is anyone currently using Manager self service? Do you allow managers to utilize any personnel actions? If so, do you pend all transactions for review? We're hoping to push some of the bazillion monthly transactions out to the field, but I'm fighting a lot of resistance to actually empowering our supervisor base...
Many thanks!!
Need to the board so I am posting like crazy here! Yes, we use MSS for a while now, but have not pushed any PAs out yet because of the lack of processflow. We will be, hopefully getting processflow this year and we will be pushing out Terms as our first action.
Thanks Twister - have fun :D
We are currently using MSS to do some personnel actions. We are using process flow to have all pA's go through Hr for review and updating. We are about to push out Job requisitions to the managers as well as a few more PA's. We do not allow managers to access the PA52 screen at all so the downside for us is the managers do not have anyplace to look and see the personnel actions they have submitted. I placed an email message to them as part of the review process flow so at least they would know that thier action was submitted. It seems to work well. One downside we have is managers do not have unique ids on thier RD30 record so all actions submitted through MSS show vcess as the submitter. We are still under a year of being live on lawson so we are constantly working out bugs and setup problems.
