I have process flow that sends new hires to HR for review and approval. It has been pointed out to me that once in a while it will create a work unit for an applicant with one name. but when the work unit is queried it brings back a different applicant. and the applicant's name that was on the process flow inbasket entry does not have an applicant record. Or a new hire action.
The inbasket description is created by quering the applicant record. How is the name being determined when there is no applicant record.
I am not sure even where to start looking the workunit looks like it was created for one employee but the name enrty from the process flow is someone else.
Help?
I believethis is what is happening... the recruiter enters a new hire with a valid applicant creating the inbasket entry. Someone else completely unrelated opens up their applicant screen thinking they are entering a new applicant but actually types over an existing and hits change instead of add. this would in effect eliminate the other applicant record. not knowing they have done anything wrong the second person tries to enter a new hire record of their own using the applicant number they believe they just created and what? it says this action already exists for that applicant. that can't be right I'll just delete it. and add the right one. This would have the effect of creating the phantom entry in the inbasket.
Sound plaueable?
I did it in our test system and it looks like the error in production.
