Please forgive the cross-post, but I want this to reach as much of the Lawson Community as possible.
I've been making scripts and docs available for the Lawson community from my website for several years. Most of you know that I work for Lawson as a Technology consultant, so I've been in duscussions to make the Lawson pages from my website available as part of the "Lawson Community" on support.lawson.com. Lawson Management agrees that the idea of schronce.net/lawson is fantastic, filling a large hole for the community, so they've gotten behind the idea of moving it to support.lawson.com
This gives us several advantages:
A: There will be code review before posting, so scripts will meet the Lawson coding requirements and be validated to work (something *I* never guarantee!)
B: Code will have documentation (something else I don't supply)
C: There will be versioning!
D: You can be made aware of the intent of what you are about to download and the impact it may have on your system.
E Both Lawson consultants and community members will be encouraged to contribute so we can have a larger and more usefull resource.
http://www.schronce.net/lawson will remain available into the near future, until it can be implemented on support.lawson.com, at which time it will disappear into the bowels of internet history.
I've truly enjoyed maintaining the site and my interactions with so many of you. I'll miss having all of you visit, but this is a great advantage for the community. And besides - all the other weird stuff on my site will continue to be there, so visit at your leisure instead of a requirement to get your job done. And I'll still be hanging around here answering questions and being generally obnoxious..
As always, THANKS!!
