Title: Bn102 Run Time
vc727 - May 30, 2006 02:08 PM (GMT)
I was just told by one of our analysts that when they run the BN102 Plan Employee Update. That it takes several hours to complete is this normal from experience?

In my experience, the BN102 usually runs in report mode for 3-5 minutes, and about 1-2 minutes longer in update. All the plans we run the BN102 for are run for Salary rather than Age or YOS, so I can't speak to how the program runs for those parameters. Additionally, we run the BN102 every pay period; running it less frequently could result in longer run times, I'd think.

We have the same experience - about an hour and a half each pay period (monthly). I feel your pain! :bye:

Now I'm more curious -- how many plans, and what types of plans, are you updating with the BN102? How many employees do you have? We update life and disability plans only with BN102. HL and DN are updated with BN100. We have about 4000 employees.

We are only updating the 403b and 401k plans with the BN102.

And how many employees?
Are you using this process to add the employer match to the employee's deduction record?
SAH - June 1, 2006 09:46 AM (GMT)
We're at the other end of the spectrum - about 10,600 employees (300 with more than one position, so life is based on total pro-rated annual salary) - update life insurance only for both age and salary.
