According to the Seniority Date's field help, the Seniority Date field can be used to calculate years of service. The only Years of Service value I see in Employee/Manager Self-Service, however, uses the adjusted fire date.

Our company uses Seniority Date. Therefore, when managers look at employees years of service for awards, etc..it is frequently INCORRECT. We have a policy that allows employees to reinstate YOS if they leave but come back within one year. The HIRE DATE is the date they come back, but their anniversary date is their ORIGINAL date of hire.

I have entered an enhancement request, but Lawson says they need more information (duh)? Enhancement request # is 8931

Was wondering if anyone else had ran across this and would be willing to add their 2 cents on the enhancement request.

We also are having trouble with the manager self service screen displaying the wrong lenght of service based on Adjusted hire date. I have asked several consultants to modify out MSS screen to use Seniority date but they all seem to think it would be too complicated. It has to do with the way MSS determines who to display to the manager. HS10 is a perdefined query that MSS uses which only hold adjusted hire date. I keep asking for some type of link to pa10 but have had no luck. PA 10 shows LOS based on Hire adjusted hire seniority and anniversary date. But it seems to be HS10 that is causing the problem.
