We created a numeric user field tied to the PA02 Position and would like to populate it with a mass load. Is there a Lawson utility to do this?

We've done this in the past using addins from Excel. I have some screen shots showing the mapping and spreadsheet layout that I used last year. Email me directly if you'd like a copy.

You can also use the HR515 conversion program. You can download the file specs from support.lawson.com. Your file will look something like this:
FC,Company,RecType,Position,FieldName,AValue,NValue,DValue
"A",1,3,"1111-22222","Rehire Status","Y","",""

FieldName is the Userfield Name
A Value is an alpha-numeric value
N VAlue is a numeric value
D Value is a date value

Try it in TEST before you try it in LIVE

Once you get one record to work, just add more records to the file.

To load it, you creat the file and put it on the server somewhere. Then create a job on HR515. Then use JOBDEV and find the program you just set up on HR515 and set the file location. Then run it.
