Title: Incentive Percentage Tied To Position
Description: Would like to tie percentage to position

Hello:
For incentive pay purposes, we are trying to tie a ceiling incease percent to the position record. This would be for non-union employees only and we were thinking about using the Step Field on the PA02.1 screen. We currently use the Schedule and Grade fields on PA02.1 but the Step field is available. Are we barking up the right tree or are going down the wrong path?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

The steps actually refer to a rate tied to a step on a step and grade schedule.(PR16) I imagine you are using the grade range schedules now(PA95).
Have you considered the Position user fields? You could create a user field that was called percent ceiling and populate that for each position.

Thanks for the response VAL. We do use the schedule grades on PA95. We do not use the PR16. Could you tell me where I find the Position user fields?
Thanks

PA02 --> User Fields button. The only thing with using a position user field is that it will not generate a warning when the limit is exceeded.

In certain situations, ignoring the limit might be a good thing!
We did find everything and set up a user field. It looks like it is exactly what we needed.
Thanks Again.
