Title: Fte Min = 0
jacflash - March 10, 2006 09:39 PM (GMT)
Can this be done?
PA52.4 will not allow a value of zero for the FTE field since our FTE min is defined as 0.1. When I create a new rule in PA06 to (supposedly) allow this, and run PA111, I still cannot add an employee with a zero FTE value...
I'm a complete and total newb on the HR/PR side of lawson, so forgive me if I've reported this issue sloppily :)

"PA52.4 will not allow a value of zero for the FTE field since our FTE min is defined as 0.1."
Redefine the FTE min as 0.0 instead of 0.1, or else use 0.1 for the FTE. You can define the FTE min on PA06.1 under the "limit" tab. Just leave the FTE Min field blank and do a change. Of course, do this in TEST first to make sure there it doesn't impact anything.

That sounds like the steps we took Friday afternoon, but I may have missed something. I'll try it again this morning.

Do you have FTE as a required field? If so you can not use 0 We use .01 for our on call employees.

We also tried to make the min zero and had to mark it as not required because Lawson sees zero as blank and if it is required it has to have a value in it.

Oops - I think I clicked on "Report" instead of "Reply" the first time.
Anyway, yes, the FTE min field is required - can you guys tell me where to go to change this setting? I don't know my way around HR/PR setup.
Thanks for the tip!

I believe it is on HR10 under the E1 topic. Can't verify at the moment though...

Correct, thanks! I'll pass the info to my (interim) HRIS person.
