Does anyone know if and how you can load the query wizard for MS Excel on a user's PC and not load the upload wizard? Or is there a way to remove it from the list on Tools-Addins? I fear some of our users will accidentally or intentionally load the upload wizard on their computer. We want this to be monitored closely.

You can always uncheck it from the list of Addins in Excel.

Or you can go to c:\program files\lawson software\Office Add-ins\

and just remove the ZLUploadWiz.xla

if you don't find it there do a search on your drive for *.xla and you'll find it. I would just rename it to .txt and that should break it good :D

The install for the Addins has gotten better over the years and the latest version does a good job of putting the xla files in the above location. I would personally prefer to have it in the Addins folder for Office itself but this is good too.

You could also do a registry hack to prevent it from ever launching but that would be silly.

Hope that helps.
