Do you windows shops run Anti Virus s/w on your Lawson server? If so, what kinds play well with Lawson. I have heard a report or two of a particular package "locking up" the server? :lala:
My company uses Norton VirusScan. Our OS is currently Windows 2000. We have a number of issues with Norton. The biggest problem is its on-access scan. Directories that undergo a great deal of Lawson use, such as the print folders, have to be locked out of on-access scan. Also, when doing any kind of an upgrade (we have to work directly on the server console) the first step in any procedure is to disable on-access scan. The last step, after everything is done, is to re-enable on-access scan.
Other issues with Norton in the past have been things like port restrictions, and other stuff. I didn't work with it, so I can't tell you much.
With careful adjustment to settings, and turning off on-access scan when doing systems work, Norton VirusScan works fine.

We use Network Associates Virus Scan. It seems to work fairly well, but as with the earlier post, the on access scan is best disabled when doing upgrades or patch installs, only to speed things along.
I have seen clients use just about all the Anti-Virus software on the market. Aside from what the two previous posts pointed out, I also noticed conflicts between some backup/restore software and the Anti-Virus software. So clients sometimes kill the anti-virus before doing backup as well.
