Title: Eeoc Changes For 2007
Description: Changes for EEOC reporting due in 2007

susanb - February 20, 2006 02:52 PM (GMT)
Does anyone know how Lawson plans to roll out the changes to the EEOC-1 reporting that will occur for the report to be completed in September, 2007.

See http://www.eeoc.gov/press/1-27-06.html for more information.

The changes are fairly extensive and are to be reflected in the actual report which means that the reports on Lawson HR will need to be changed.

THanks for any information.

From reading the changes, sounds like we'll need to modify the ethnicity categories. The ethnicity categories are not set in stone in Lawson and can be modified on HR91.1. May have to do a mass update using MS Add-ins or HR511 to re-assign employees to the correct code, or we can modify the description of the codes themselves.

Number 1 is correct about the ethnicity item, but we'll need to make changes on the EEOC category on HR06 job codes to get the right data, and I think that item's not user-defined. At least, I can't find a place to define it.

Lauren is right about the HR06 setup for EEO Category not being user defined. We don't use EEO-1 but instead use EEO-5. Since Lawson didn't support EEO-5 reporting, we had to modify the HR06 to handle our specific needs in choosing EEO Categories. It would be nice if the EEO Category was user defined. I would hope that Lawson is aware of this and is working on it.

Hey folks,
I talked with Lawson....
2007 EEO-1 Ethnicity Reporting Changes

Description:
Will Lawson incorporate functionality to choose more than one ethnicity (if the employee has two or more ethnicities--i.e. Caucasian AND Asian ) on the Employee record (HR11) and the EEO-1 report (PA390)? According to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission employers will be required to report both races on the 2007 EEO-1 report.

Resolution:
Yes. These changes are being analyzed now. Lawson Development will work with Product Management to ensure we understand and prioritize this requirement appropriately. The revisions are to be effective for the Sept. 2007 reporting period. No changes will be issued for the Sept. 2006 reporting period, since the current format is to be used then.

The following is a link to website detailing the changes - http://www.eeoc.gov/press/11-16-05.html

When Lawson makes the modifications for the new EEO reporting, any idea what versions that they will supply patches for? We are on 8.0.3 and a few MSPs and ESP behind, but working to catch up! We see this as a big issue.

Thanks,
Chris

It is now October and i can't seem to find any thing in the Knowledge Base about the split of the Officials and Managers EEO Category. Has any one gotten an update on when we could expect to see the changes pushed out or do we not really worry about it until next time we need to report since that piece is on the job code and just needs to be in place before the report is run.

Does anyone have a document on this? A search on support only turned up a couple of articles and I can't tell if there are more patches required.

There are quite a few CTPs posted that are IN ADDITION TO the PTs for adding the new EEO-1 job classes.
No doubt more problems will be reported. :bonk:
Check the HR CTPs daily re this (just like Payroll Year End).

Search the CTPs for Human Resources to see all these.
There are problems with the output file (field length, EIN not included), with the "update" version of PA390 (not updating all establishments, not including establishments under 50 EE's in output report), and others.

Someone should ask Lawson to post summary fix updates for EEO 2007 in the CRITICAL NOTIFICATIONs section.
