we are seeeing errors when we run cb500. These errors ar payroll checks from Oct and have already been balanced. I contacted Lawson and they told me that this was ok, but we can not get the balance of the payroll checks in. The error reads cannot add transaction alreadys exists, date is before closing date.
Has anyone seen this before. I contacted lawson again, but still no call back.

Do you have someone that can run queries against your database?
I have never seen that particular error from CB500 but I am guessing that there is some sort of duplicate record in the DB and a good SQL guy should be able to debug the issue for you pretty quickly.

we did this, and the payroll checks that are causing the error are not in the payroll file at all, so I do not understand where the checks are being picked up from.

You could have somebody from the IT dept run CB500 in the debug mode and figure out where/why it is erroring out.
