We are developing an HL7 ADT interface from McKesson Star to Lawson. We are processing the inbound messages with PC521 and successfully populate the Lawson data base.

Our questions pertain to update messages. We cannot get the bed field (in PV1,2) to update. For example on an A03 discharge, we are moving null to the room & bed fields in our interface engine translation. When we run PC521 to execute the update in Lawson, the bed field does not update (to null).

Is there a table that contains values for the Patient Class or are I and O hardcoded in PC521. Our standard patient class values are I, O and E (Emergency Patients). When we send patient class E transactions, PC521 changes them to Inpatient (I).

Can you help?

You don't mention what version you are on, but the version I am looking at has the patient class values as only I or O, if the value you are passing doesn't match I or O, it gets filled with I.
