If you're working with LSF9 on Unix you may already have my was.sh and ihs.sh scripts that allow you to start, stop and restart those services without having to 'cd' to a half dozen directories. I just added tds.sh to the mix, which allows you to start, stop, restart and backup any or all the tds instances on your machine.
