Title: Match-obj-id Field Conversion From 7.2.4 To 8.1.0

skonduru - May 2, 2008 03:22 AM (GMT)
We are upgrading our lawson system from 7.24 to 8.1.0. We converted all the data from 7.24 to 8.10 through the

conversion programs provided by lawson.

But now we are struck into a new problem with MATCH-OBJ-ID field in APINVOICE,PORECLINE tables.

This field is new in 8.1.0. The conversion programs are populating value 0 to these fields.

But i could these that there are many programs which are using MATCH-OBJ-ID as key in the process example invoice unmatch.

So the converted data is not getting processing due to the MATCH-OBJ-ID field populated with value 0.

I dont find any lawson post job for this... any help on this please...............

Regards,

This looks like a very intense job for an analyst ... I'm not going to do any work, but if I did, what I would look at would be the relationships in dbdef -- you will find them in the "one-to-one" and "one-to-many" sections. It might also be a good thing to create a few invoices or receive a few PO's and see if the MATCH-OBJ-ID's follow the specs in dbdef.

Then you will have to manually tie in the records, if you can. And that's where the skills -- and time -- of a good analyst are needed. But I'm not volunteering.
