Hi all -

Has anybody done an MS Addin(s) upload to do the "finish" on numerous shipments using WH32? Without boring everyone with the details, we had a boatload of shipments that had all lines backordered but then failed on the "finished (Wh520) because another user had put all the orders on hold (Lawson won't allow a finish if orders are on hold).

We now need a fairly quick way to "finish" all these as there are 1500+ we need to do by end of week.

Can anyone help? Our IC user can't get the MS Addin to work.

I don't have an MS Add-Ins answer for you, but there is a possible solution...the WH132 (when all else fails, look to basic functionality). Based on the parameters, you could have it process batch-by-batch or all batches.

I know, I know... Not my ususal erudite and charming answer, but I still haven't had my coffee yet.

Yes, we thought about WH132 - but that could possibly touch other shipments in the batch that we don't want touched. I talked with Lawson at length about that yesterday and was told if there were other open shipments that we did NOt want finished - it would do those as well.

Lawson has said WH32 won't work with MSAddins - so we are going back to the WH132 option and running several queries to see if we can work around any other shipments within those batches.

Having had some coffee now (both yesterday and today), I was thinking about the your problem... Yes, I do actually have a life, but I also tend to fixate on things.

So, the batch-by-batch process would be the most exact, and tedious, method to address your issue. But it seems that the "All Batch" method could be used "after hours". That is, I am assuming that there is some point in the day when your facility(-ies) are not actively processing pick tickets. Or maybe they could be convinced to take a small break and take care of vendor returns.

Assuming that there are discrete times in the day when all of your current WH32 transactions are completed, you could schedule the WH132 to run after hours.

Again, still contributing my $0.02, because I really can't afford too much more.
