Title: Environment Migration Between Two Servers?
Description: 803 to LSF9 migration on two servers

Regarding strategy and planning for the LSF9 migration, is it possible to perform the LSF9 migration between 803 and lsf9 on different servers?

Do both environments HAVE to snuggle side by side on the same server?

Are there any pros and cons to this scenario or reasons why I would NOT want to do this besides cost?

No.. After installing 90 we just clone GEN and LOGAN into it from your 80 system. They can be separate servers - no problem.. As a matter of fact, that's my preference. Unless I'm specifically contracted to work on them I prefer to avoid contact with production systems if possible - that way I don't get blamed if something breaks!

Thanks...Our DBA also is planning on moving the databases off the apps server to its own dedicated DB server.

One more question. Where does websphere live? On the apps server or the webserver?

we currently run IIS/Tomcat.
