Title: Laua All Security Class Deleted
Description: laua all security class deleted

I removed the security class for one person in Laua and it removed it from everyone in the system. I think this is becaue when in the user listing, I had hit control home to go to the top of the list and noticed that it put + signs next to each person...I'm NOW assuming those + signs were selecting all users...

We do not have anyway to log onto the system...as no one has a security class.

We have a ticket with GSC that we are hoping they'll answer for us soon. In the meantime...does anyone have ANY ideas on what we can do to restore this??

The steps will be different depending on which ENV you are on - 8.x or LSF9, but you should be able to go thru the ENV installation documentation and get the "Lawson" user setup again, added to laua, then start creating your sec classes and adding your users again.

Thanks for the quick response on this. The GSC advised us to do the steps below and it appears to work.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Do not use CONTROL HOME with LID, unless you want your changes to affect all of your users at once...

from gsc: will need to get the LINTE/DB/GEN/USER and USER.i from backup, stop the environment service, rename the current LINTE/DB/GEN/USER and USER.i files so he has an online backup of them, copy the backup copies or USER and USER.i into the live LINTE/DB/GEN directory (make sure the permissions match the original files), start the environment services - log into laua and make sure the security classes are in place as expected.
NOTE: any changes made to users since the backup will be lost - these would be changes to the security classes assigned to the users, user groups assigned etc.
If they have any problems, will need to stop the services, put the original files back in place and manually re-assign the security classes, etc.
