Hi,
We are in the planning stage to go to LSF 9.0.
I have a couple of questions:
1. Our $LAWDIR, $GENDIR etc., sits on a SAN as we have 2 app boxes(one main and 1 backup).
I heard that in LSF 9.0, the $LAWDIR/system needs to be in the App box. Pls. confirm.
2. When I do a preview of a CTP patch, I find the preview.log have NL(Not licensed to the user entries) for some programs. Assuming that these programs
are not required, can I still go ahead and activate the patch?
Thanks,
Raj
1. All the Lawson disks can be on your SAN - as a matter of fact, I'd recommend it as SAN disks are typically much faster then local disks - and it's easier to swap them to another app server for disaster recovery purposes.
2. The components of the CPT that are 'NL' simply will not be installed on your machine - no loss to you - you don't use those apps..
