Title: Inconsistent Medical Deductions Help!

ohthatsme - February 14, 2008 07:06 PM (GMT)
Hi, me again

I have another issue with the same plan. All of the rate tables for all the new plans have been correctly imported into Lawson.

But when we looked at the bn32 for an ee who is enrolled in that plan, it is showing another plan's rates in the BEN-pre-employee- contribution filed. I checked the rate table- they were right

Here is an example –

EMpLOYEE X is enrolled in plan B. The rate table is showing his annualized contribution is 1200, (which is correct),

But when I look at his bn32, the Ben pre-EMP- contribution field is showing 1300, which is the correct rate for plan A.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Did you check your employee groups? Are they mutual exclusive or can an employee be in more than one, pointing to multiple contribution tables?

Lawson mentioned ee groups - that this issue may be related to the Employee Group stored under Premium in the BENEFIT file and that looked good.

The only time something may occur when an employee group is changed after the employee is already enrolled into the Benefit Plan. When the Employee Group criteria for an employee group that is attached to a Benefit Plan, only new benefit enrollments are affected by that change.

Sometimes this leaves existing employees in the benefit plan orphaned, meaning the group that was used originally to enroll the employee is no longer intact.

Also, there is no real way (besides re-enrolling the participants) is automatically re-linking the plan particpants to their benefit related employee group

Wouldn’t it make sense to update all enrollees old and new?
