Title: What Is Attendance Management?
Description: vs Time Accrual and Absence Management

Sparky - February 12, 2008 05:03 PM (GMT)
Can anyone explain exactly what Attendance Management (system code TM) is? Is it still supported and available in 8.1 and 9.0?

We currently use Time Accrual and are in the process of implementing Absence Management, but I've been asked about Attendance Management and don't quite understand how it fits in. I see that there are some tracking features (occurrences, points, etc.) that aren't available in TA or LP.

Can anyone help me with this? Thanks!

Hi Nancy - I'm not sure if I can explain this appropriately, but TM is the mechanism in Lawson to track time off incidents - for example, if you have progressive discipline which starts after a 3rd occurrence, you can use TM, tied to pay codes, to track this sort of info. The major set up occurs on TM01.1 - but you can also get to that screen from PR20.4 - pay code. We're on 8.1 apps and the info is still available.

Absence Mgmt is the module that is replacing TA. You will be able to track leaves such as FMLA, etc as well as accrual plans such as vacation and PTO.
