Title: Lsf9, Esp2 To Esp4
DeCamp - January 4, 2008 08:08 PM (GMT)
:somb: We are LSF9, ESP2, SUN. Planning on skipping SP3 and installing SP4. Has anyone installed SP4 yet? Did you encounter any issues? Did you find the documentation from Lawson Support helpful? Thanks -

We installed it two weeks ago on test server and so far no issues during testing.

We're in the same boat, LSF9 ESP2 jumping to ESP4, in a SUN SunOS environment.
George, how did the WebSphere upgrade to 6.1 go? That looks like a biggy for us..... :nix:

Milo - just now saw your question on this so don't know if it is still timely or not - but probably not going to be much help. We were already on 6.1 since this server was fairly new - (June/2007). All we did was update the build level to 13 and it was really straight forward. No issues applying the ears at all and everything ran smooth.

We found out we can go to LSF9 SP4 by updating WebSphere to 6.0.2 fixpack 25, and after updating, then we can update WAS to 6.1. So we're going that route.
BTW, after more investigation, WAS 6.1 isn't so bad after all. It's just a matter of understanding it a little bit better.
