We received an email from Lawson on Friday (12/07) extending support:

"today we are announcing the continuation of UNIX/Windows Technology 8.0.3 standard support until May 31, 2009, for all customers who have licensed System Foundation and are current on maintenance."

The announcement of the extension of 8.0.3. was accompanied with a lot of verbiage touting how great Lawson 9 is. From that, and the fact that Lawson had to extend support of version 8, I take it that going to Lawson 9 is harder for clients than Lawson thought it was going to be.

(My company having just gone live on Version 9 in September, I'm speaking from experience.)
