Title: 8.0.3.11.x Msp - What's The 'x' Represent?
Description: install.log - MSP 8.0.3.11.X

Can someone explain to me what the number appended to the 8.0.3.11 MSP represents? We have threee PL and they should be at MSP 8.0.3.11. However,
when I view the install.log in the respective directories, I see different numbers: PROD 8.0.3.11.8, TEST 8.0.3.11.4, and DEVL 8.0.3.11.20. What's the purpose in this number that's been appended?

My prior experience would suggest that's a "point release". I'm relatively new to Lawson and somewhat clueless.

Lawson told me to ignore it, but I would like to believe it represents something????

Any and all help is appreciated.

When Lawson installs a patch it appends a sequential number to the backend so you can discern the order in which they were installed. If you look in $LAWDIR/prodline/backup, you'll see all you ctps and msps, with a number appended.

The reason this is done is so you can BACK OUT patches in the same order in which they were installed.

Thank you! I couldn't understand why an MSP would have a point release!!!!!
