Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the system administration functions necessary to maintain Lawson development, test and production environments. Administration includes applying and testing patches; applying maintenance releases, and performing system upgrades. Provides Lawson technical expertise to other IT staff that support UNIX, Oracle, Apache/Tomcat, Windows Servers, Lawson Applications and Interfaces. Provides 24x7 support as needed.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

1. Perform Lawson user administration.
2. Install and upgrade new environments, product lines and applications.
3. Apply application and environment patches.
4. Perform data refreshes as needed.
5. Document and describe processes related to the Lawson environment.
6. Work as a technical expert with customers, application analysts, developers, and other team members to support and develop technical solutions to complex business problems.
7. Perform QA testing and debugging.
8. Troubleshoot Lawson problems and work within Lawson GSC guidelines to make sure support is not invalidated.
9. Define printers to Lawson.
10. Monitor/maintain logs, files systems and directories and coordinate maintenance with Unix System Admin.
11. Perform or assist in Lawson product line backups/restores
12. Maintain log files, print files, and work files.
13. Ensure that backup Lawson System Administrators are involved in and aware of activities so that they have the knowledge to be effective substitutes when needed.
14. Document the current state of all Lawson Product Lines and keep status current
15. Help create and enforce MCH standards and policies for Lawson product lines
16. Develop and maintain interfaces to and from other financial systems.
17. Ability to read and troubleshoot COBOL programs
18. Ability to write and modify data extractions programs
19. Ability to create interface from/to Lawson
20. Performs Cyclic and Regulatory updates of the BSI TaxFactory Database.
Desired Skills:
Requirements:

* Technical knowledge of Lawson application suites.
* Proven ability to effectively communicate, in writing and verbally, with all Ability to communicate complicated technical concepts to non-technical customers.
* Ability to determine severity of system issues and its effect on the completion of required tasks.
* Ability to troubleshoot system issues; communicate effectively with Lawson support center.
* Ability to prioritize and complete complex tasks in agreed upon time frame.
* Lawson administration experience in a Unix/Windows, Oracle/DB2/MSSQL, and Apache/Tomcat/IIS environment preferred.
* Strong familiarity in troubleshooting and configuring IOS/Portal. Experience in applying Lawson program and environmental patches.
