Title: Remote Server

Is there anything similar to the remote system methodology that was employed with 8.x in LSF9? The reason I ask is because we have two companies and they like to have separate webservers with different pages of information. And also because one of the companies likes to have everything secure, i.e. ssl.

Absolutely! Multiple webservers are not an issue. Set 'em up local, remote, in the DMZ, wide open on the internet (not a suggestion mind you!), anywhere you want.

Ok, sounds good. Now the other problem is that one side authenticate's to a regular LDAP server and the other one authenticates to a Novell LDAP server. Can I set up two tivoli services, one local, and one remote, and bind them to different LDAP servers?

Quick answer is, hire an LDAP expert. I got burned a few weeks ago trying to do it myself. 'Nuff said.

I think we are going to have this solved somewhat by creating one massive ldap server that feeds from both sides. They currently have one to ensure IDs aren't replicated, but now they are working on populating passwords. So hopefully I won't have to worry about it...

You're going to install (at least) one ldap that is specific to Lawson's need, then eventually 'bind' to your corporate ldap. Believe me, you don't want all that security info, etc.. gumming up the works of your Corporate user repository. Keep Lawson separate where it's more configurable and controllable.

Yeah, it's going to be interesting. I think we are going to have a lot things ready by the end of this year for training.
