SUMMARY: Under general supervision, will be responsible for resolving technical issues within the Lawson Financial and HRIS suite of applications, as well as involvement in the custom development of system interfaces and support of peripheral off-the-shelf software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: To perform this job successfully the Lawson Developer/Analyst may be expected to perform some or all of the duties listed.
· Provide production support and troubleshooting across the Lawson suite of products.
· Provide administration duties of the environment, where needed. Including assistance with patch management and system upgrades.
· Develop, test and document custom interfaces.
· Assist in the maintaining and support of customizations to base Lawson code and modifications.
· Work with end users to troubleshoot problems within the environment, and assisting in the identification of solutions and implementation of those solutions.
· Assist the Lawson team with the coordination of other IT resources for support and maintenance.
· Prepare documentation for financial/HR applications, as well as peripheral systems, in regards to procedures and processes.
· Ensure all processes are documented.
· Perform and document testing of modifications made to software and processes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· A thorough understanding of the Lawson environment and applications, with an emphasis on Lawson Portal, Design Studio, ProcessFlow, and Crystal Reports.
· A thorough understanding of Microsoft SQL-Server 2000.
· A basic understanding of common programming languages and standards, including COBOL, SQL, HTML, and XML

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and successful completion of formal post secondary education in programming and system design and four to six years of progressively responsible experience.
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in the field of computers or business preferred.

Just bumping this up. I get the impression Lawson positions can be difficult to fill. We've employed a couple of local head hunters that have been unable to find anyone.
